Riverside’s Reaghan McDaniel emerged as the sectional champion, shooting an impressive score of 78. Her victory secures her spot at the Division 2 District Tournament at PipeStone Golf Club in Miamisburg on October 2. This achievement marks McDaniel’s third consecutive year qualifying for the district tournament, underscoring her consistent excellence on the course.

The Lady Falcons also had a strong showing, winning the SW DII Sectional tournament with a team score of 399. Zoey Merritt led the Falcons with a stellar score of 79, while teammates Riley Donnelly, Kailey Dowty, Bayla Moffitt, and Grace Bowers contributed scores of 102, 105, 112, and 128, respectively. The Lady Falcons will join McDaniel at Pipestone, aiming to build on their successful season.

Additionally, Marley Young made history at Calvary by becoming the first female player on the school’s golf team to advance to sectionals. Competing at the WGC Golf Course in Xenia, Young finished with a score of 132. Her achievement sets a significant milestone for the school and paves the way for future female golfers at Calvary. Congratulations to Marley for her trailblazing accomplishment!
