Several area athletes have been recognized among the best in the state, as the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association announced its 2026 All-Ohio Girls Basketball teams for Divisions IV, V, VI and VII on Monday.
The honors are based on regular-season performance, with selections coming from nominations across seven statewide districts.
In Division IV, Graham junior Zoey Conn earned Second Team All-Ohio recognition after a strong season averaging 17.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, while also contributing defensively with 1.6 steals per contest.
Also in Division IV, Urbana senior Alex Dixon was named to the Third Team following an impressive all-around campaign. Dixon averaged 21.9 points per game to go along with 5.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.8 steals, showcasing her impact on both ends of the floor.
In Division VI, Mechanicsburg junior Clara Forrest was selected to the Second Team after putting together a well-rounded season. Forrest averaged 14.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, while adding 2.9 steals and 1.4 blocks on defense.
Rounding out the local honorees, West Liberty-Salem senior Ava Astorino earned Third Team All-Ohio honors. Astorino averaged 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, along with 2.5 steals.
The All-Ohio teams for the boys basketball All-Ohio teams are expected to be released on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Ohio Prep Sports Media Association, established in 1972 and endorsed by the Ohio High School Athletic Association, oversees the selection process and continues to recognize excellence in high school athletics across the state.
