Team Champ swimmers from Urbana and Graham competed in the Central Buckeye Conference Championship at Wright State University on Saturday, January 27th.
Earning Second Team CBC Honors was Graham’s 200 Freestyle Relay team of Caleb Owens, Sully Uhl, Joshua Ryman, and Thomas Neff (2nd place – 26 points) and Neff in the 100 Butterfly (13 points).
Earning Honorable Mention CBC by placing third was Neff in the 100 Backstroke (12 points), Ryman in the 100 Breaststroke (12 points), and the 200 Medley Relay team of Uhl, Ryman, Neff, and Owens (24 points).

In the team scores, the Urbana girls team finished 5th (out of 10 teams) with 97 points and Graham tied for 8th with Tecumseh with 73 points.
For the boys, Graham finished 4th with 118 points and Urbana 10th with 10 points.

The Chieftain swimmers traveled to Wright State University on Saturday to compete in the CBC Championships. The boys put together an excellent meet capturing thier 2nd consecutive CBC Championship! The team scored 260 points followed by London with 223. The team finished top 3 in all of their relays, winning the 200 Free Relay. Individually, Elias captured two CBC Championship titles, while John, Cooper, and Cody added 2nd place finishes.

The Lady Chiefs took the pool at Wright State University on Saturday for the 2024 CBC Championship Meet. The girls had an outstanding meet that included 10 athletes scoring individually, 2 relays finishing top 3, and 2 individual top 3 finishes. The team finished as the CBC Runner-Up with 185 behind Jonathan Alder (278).

The Raiders Swim team competed in the CBC Championship at Wright State University today. The boys took 3rd place scoring 190 points while the girls placed 10th scoring 65 points.
Liam Sweeney captured a 3rd-place individual medal in the 200 IM.
The relay team of Utah Coleman, Jerrik Stephens, Landon Braddock, and Liam Sweeney also medaled taking 3rd place in the 200 Free Relay and 2nd place in the 400 Free Relay.
CBC Sportsmanship awards went to Kelley Forsythe for the girls and Carter Yoder for the boys.
Coach Mitch Sweeney commented, “This was a good meet to build on as we get towards the end of the season. It is exciting seeing all of these kids continuing to improve and drop time.”
