The Calvary Christian varsity team defeated Temple Christian in straight sets: 25-10, 25-10, and 27-25.

For the Spartans, Kari Gantz served 10 aces and 19 points, Abby Jenkins led the way with 12 kills, Madelyn Trittschuh had 8 kills, and Isabel Schmidt tallied 6 kills. Ruby Slemmons dished out 14 assists and Lucy Jarvis recorded 11.

The Spartans lost to Mars Hill Academy in 4 sets: 15-25, 14-25, 25-23, 23-25.

Stacia Rogan served 13 points and Ruby Slemmons served 17. Abby Jenkins lead in digs and had 14 kills and Madelyn Trittschuh had 7. Lucy Jarvis had 12 assists and Slemmons had 11, picking up her 100th assist for the season. Madelyn Trittschuh had 3 blocks.

The Spartans are now 10-4.

Calvary Christian’s JV team lost in 3 sets to Milford Christian: 23-25, 25-21, 21-25.

Claire Heater served 20 points and Nora Thornton served 5 aces.

The JV Spartans lost in straight sets to Mars Hill: 25-13, 25-19.

Kaylie Carter served 10 points and Madhuri Cook had 3 aces.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity team traveled to Minster for the Minster Invitational.

The Lady Tigers went 2-1 on the day.

In the first game, WL-S lost in straight sets against Alter: 17-25; 21-25.

In the second game, WL-S defeated Arcanum in straight sets: 25-18, 25-23.

The Lady Tigers also beat Bluffton in straight sets: 25-19, 25-14.

Middle School:

The Bellefontaine 7th-grade team lost to Urbana in straight sets: 16-25, 14-25.

The Chiefs defense played very well combining for 7 digs.

Offensively, Laney Storm led the charge with 2 kills, while Hailey Augustus had 1. Brooklynne Kuntz added 2 aces.

The Chieftain 8th-grade team defeated Urbana in straight sets: 25-18, 25-13.

Ava Layman had 6 kills, Presley Vigansky dished out 7 assists and Sophia Jacobs added 2 digs.

The Benjamin Logan 7th-grade team defeated Graham in straight sets: 25-10 and 25-14.

Autumn Cline had 6 aces and 9 kills. Georgia Daniels had 9 aces and 3 kills. Nevaeh Fogle had 3 aces and a kill. Leah Hawley, Bella Hughes, and Kelsey Jumper each served 2 aces. Madison Shields, Kenzie Forsythe, and Shae Schneider each added a kill.

The Lady Raiders also won in straight sets against Graham in the 8th-grade match: 25-9 and 25-12.

Kylie Harner had 5 aces and 2 kills. Abby Vance had 3 aces, 6 kills, and a solo block. Storm LeVan served 4 aces. Lilly Kerns had 4 aces and a kill. Kaelin Gibson served 2 aces. Avah Miller tallied 5 kills. Julia Harmon and Jaylyn Parker each added an ace.

Riverside’s 7th-grade team beat Jackson Center in 3 sets 25-22, 24-26, and 25-21.

Chloe Purtee had 13 points 4 aces and 2 tips. Kenzie Stotler had 10 points 3 aces 3 kills, and 1 tip. Maddy Rowland had 8 points and 2 aces. Molly Carman had 4 points, 1 kill, and 1 tip. Clara McGill had 3 points, 1 ace, and 1 kill. Adalyn Calaway 2 points and an ace. Valerie Knight added a kill.

The Pirates 8th-grade team lost to Jackson Center in straight sets: 17-25 and 27-25.

Emilee Robinson had 14 points, 5 aces, and a kill.
