Bellefontaine Volleyball Opens Season with Tough Loss

The Bellefontaine Chiefs opened their volleyball season on the road at Coldwater, suffering a 0-3 defeat. The set scores were 17-25, 15-25, and 6-25. Kelsie Snapp led the Chiefs with 11 digs, 9 kills, and a perfect 6/6 serving performance. Taylor Banta added 8 digs, 3 kills, and an ace, while Ava Campbell recorded 2 kills and went 7/7 serving. Madi Zedeker contributed 15 assists and 6 digs. The team will look to rebound during their home opener against Wapakoneta on Saturday, with JV Black starting at 9 am, followed by JV Red and Varsity.

Calvary Volleyball Falls to Emmanuel Christian

Calvary’s volleyball team lost a hard-fought match to Emmanuel Christian in four sets. Kari Gantz had 6 kills, 1 ace, and 2 assists, while Nora Thornton added 5 kills, 6 assists, and 1 ace. Ava Cole contributed significantly with 6 aces and 2 kills. The team will participate in a tri-match at North Baltimore on Saturday.

Indian Lake Dominates West Liberty-Salem

Indian Lake’s volleyball team continued their strong season with a 3-0 victory over West Liberty-Salem. The set scores were 25-16, 25-17, and 25-17. Kenzie Dixon led with 11 kills, 14 digs, and was a perfect 9/9 serving. Halle Roby had 5 kills, 2 aces, 11 digs, and 19 assists. Other key contributors included Courtney Altstaetter with 7 kills, Cami Bailey with 8 kills, and Addison Beck with 12 digs. The Lakers, now 4-0, will next face Bellefontaine on Tuesday.

The JV Lakers also won against West Liberty-Salem with scores of 25-19 and 25-10. Standout performances included Ady Oldiges with 8 assists and 5 digs, Brynna Avila with 4 kills and 7 digs, and Madison Davis with 2 aces and 7 kills. The JV Lakers are also undefeated at 4-0.

West Liberty-Salem Volleyball Results

The West Liberty-Salem Varsity team fell to Indian Lake with set scores of 16-25, 17-25, and 17-25. Londyn Loveless had 8 digs and 11 assists, while Kiersten Stoll contributed 4 kills and 19 digs. Naomi Cole added 6 kills and 2 digs. The Tigers are now 1-1 overall and 1-0 in OHC play.

The JV Tigers also lost to Indian Lake with set scores of 19-25 and 20-25. Key players included Addie Hutton with 7 kills and 4 digs, Belle Sarver with 4 kills and 1 block, and Emma Liggett with 7 kills and 10 digs. The JV Tigers are 1-1.

Benjamin Logan Battles Jonathan Alder

The Benjamin Logan Raiders competed hard against Jonathan Alder but fell 1-3. The set scores were 25-23, 12-25, 22-25, and 21-25. Abby Vance had 6 kills and 2 blocks, Mia Stahler recorded 20 digs, and Kayla Williamson contributed 10 kills and 2 blocks. Lexi Archer added 11 assists. The Raiders will host Calvary Christian on Tuesday at 6:30 pm.
