Wednesday, local volleyball teams delivered impressive performances in their matches, showcasing skill and teamwork.
Bellefontaine Volleyball Dominates Tecumseh
The Bellefontaine volleyball team traveled to Tecumseh on Wednesday night and secured a decisive victory, winning 25-1, 25-10, 25-11. Kelsie Snapp led the Chiefs with an outstanding performance, going 38-for-38 in serving with 9 aces, alongside 20 digs and 6 kills.
Taylor Banta contributed significantly with 17 kills, 5 digs, and 2 blocks, while Ava Layman added 7 kills and 6 digs. The team’s setter, Madi Zedeker, recorded 27 assists and 8 digs, finishing 8-for-8 in serving. The Chiefs now boast a strong record of 15-4.
In JV action, the Red team also came out on top, defeating Tecumseh 25-4, 25-18. Kaeleigh Flora led with 23 digs, 11 kills, and perfect serving. Alayna Boyd excelled with 18 assists, 3 kills, and 3 aces, serving 15-for-15. The JV Black team, however, fell short against Tecumseh, losing 20-25, 19-25.
West Liberty-Salem Tigers Triumph Over Triad
The West Liberty-Salem Tigers faced off against Triad on Tuesday night, clinching a victory with strong individual performances. Naomi Cole led the charge with 14 kills, 9 digs, and 3 aces. Asher Daniels contributed with 4 kills, 5 aces, and 10 digs, while Lyndee Harrison provided 2 kills and 18 assists.
In JV action, the West Liberty-Salem JV A team defeated Triad, with standout performances from players like Addie Hutton, who delivered 12 aces, and Sophia Landon, who recorded 15 assists and 8 kills.
Unfortunately, the JV B team faced defeat, with Kylee Bell leading with 1 ace and 6 kills.

Both Bellefontaine and West Liberty-Salem will be looking to continue their winning streaks in their upcoming matches. Bellefontaine will host Kenton Ridge on Tuesday, with the JV Black team starting at 4:30 PM.
