Mad River United FC Girls Purple End Season

Mad River United FC Girls Purple traveled to Beavercreek to play in the Creek Classic recently.

MRUFC’s first game was against Dublin United Valkyrie. Fiona Sweeney scored first for Mad River with Blythe Lowe added one of her own before the half.

Dublin was able to add two goals in the second half for a 2-2 tie at the end of regulation.

Lucy Johns had 3 saves in goal.

In the second game on Saturday Purple played Shawnee Select after a 0-0 halftime, Select was able to add a goal for a 1-0 win.

Layla Davis, Sloan Stolly, Morgan Williams, and Lottie Bodin were able to hold Shawnee with the defense. Lucy Johns had 5 saves in goal.

Sunday, MRUFC took on Tempest FC Chaos for a 0-4 loss to end the Mad River Season.

Lucy Johns had 4 saves in goal.

On the season MRUFC Pink were able to finish league play 5-4-1 and 2-4-1 in tournament play in their first season.

The team consisted of players from Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, Bellefontaine, Kenton, and Calvary Christian.
