Benjamin Logan Varsity Raiders had trouble keeping up with Marysville in an 18-8 loss on Friday.
Marysville got on the board in the bottom of the first inning, scoring two runs on a sacrifice fly and a ground out.
The Monarchs added two more to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning.
Marysville then showed its offensive strength by scoring nine runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Benjamin Logan answered, scoring seven runs on six hits in the top of the fifth inning. Cayden Brown doubled, scoring three runs, an error scored one run, Camden Spriggs singled, scoring one run, and Bryden Morris tripled, scoring two runs.
Pitching for the Raiders was Soli Hughes, who gave up three hits and four runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out none and walking three.
The Raiders had nine hits in the game. Carter Lyden led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Brown had three RBIs.

The London Red Raiders shut out Indian Lake, 13-0, on Friday thanks partly to seven runs in the first inning.
London got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after an error scored one run, Braden Collins singled, scoring one run, Andrew Wilson singled in a run, Carter Blakeway singled in another, and Culyer Greenhill hammered a 3-run shot to left to round it out.
The Red Raiders tacked on five more in the bottom of the second inning.
Greenhill earned the win for London, allowing just three hits over four and one-third innings, striking out two and walking three.
Kolton Cummins took the loss for Indian Lake, going three innings, giving up 13 runs (six earned) on nine hits, striking out two, and walking three.
Indian Lake will travel to West Liberty-Salem for their next game on Saturday.
The Graham Falcons took down Tecumseh 11-6 on Friday.
The Falcons got on the board at the top of the first inning when Adam Levy singled down the left field line, and Jack Traylor tripled to right field, each scoring one run.
Graham added to their lead by scoring nine runs on seven hits in the top of the sixth inning.
Levy singled, scoring two runs, Jack Traylor singled in another, Hayden Van Hoose drew a walk to score a run, Zach Wheeland was hit by a pitch to bring another, before Owen Powell tripled, scoring three.
Holden Dunham then tacked on another nail with an RBI single.
Tecumseh scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Tyler Butler singled, scoring two runs, JJ Burcham singled in a run, Chase Howard doubled in another, and Carter Olinger had an RBI ground out.
Van Hoose stepped on the mound first for Graham, giving up three hits and three runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking three.
Cole Brents stepped on the hill first for Tecumseh, allowing four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking none.
Jack Traylor threw one and one-third innings of shutout ball for the Falcons in relief.
The right-handed pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out one and walking two.
