Several local golf teams were in action Monday.
The Riverside varsity girls team lost by one point to Miami East 238-239 at Lakeland Golf Course.
Leading the way for the Lady Pirates was Reghan McDaniel who was the medalist with a 42. Cassie May shot a 62 and Emma Saylor carded a 65.
The West Liberty-Salem varsity boys team struggled and fell to Northeastern 208-202.
Greyson Horsley shot a 47, Collin Thompson and Eli Adkins recorded a 53, Owen Barger carded a 55, Luke Thomas tallied a 57, and Leland Henry had a 64.
Also for the Tigers, Aiden Taylor and Teagon Miller shot a 63, and Silas McCombs had a 77.
West Liberty-Salem now stands at 2-2 on the season.
The Tigers travel to Locust Hills Tuesday to take on Southeastern at 1 p.m.
The Calvary Christian varsity boys golf team competed in the Waynesfield Goshen Tiger Invitational at Prairie View Golf course.
Fort Laramie was the winning team with a score of 311 and Jackson Center finished second with 345.
The Spartans came in 4th out of 12 teams with a score of 374.
Leading the way for Calvary was Kaden Downing with a 76, Patrick James had an 80, Nate Davis shot a 95, Jace Caudill recorded a 123, and Lucas Harshfield carded a 25.

The Indian Lake golf team opened league play with a CBC win over Urbana at Cherokee Hills 188-189.
Maddux Hall led the Lakers with a 44.
Joe Cummins, Regan Ross, and Cam Tuttle each carded a 48.
Cooper Hall added a 53 and Tyler Michael had a 56.
The team is back in action Thursday at Graham.
