Thursday night the Indian Lake 8th-grade boys basketball team lost at Tecumseh 36-12.
Jesse Carder and Reed Strayer led the Lakers scoring 5 points.
Indian Lake’s 7th-grade boys fell to Tecumseh 27-17.
Nixon Lillard led the Lake scoring 6 points.
The Indian Lake 8th-grade girls basketball team lost to Tecumseh 30-23.
Leading the Lakers was Rya Pequignot who scored 10 points, and had 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Brylee Buyer had 6 points and 3 steals, Madison Davis scored 5 points and Bre Wisener scored 2 points and had 4 rebounds.
The 8th grade team is 10-3 on the season.
The Indian Lake 7th-grade team lost to Tecumseh 38-23.
Kyler Carruthers scored 19 points and had 3 steals. Laura Metzger scored 3 points and had 4 rebounds and Audra Harford had 1 point.
Riverside entertained Dayton Northridge in jr high boys basketball Thursday night.
In the 1st game, the Pirates came away winners 23-20 as Liam Shoe scored 6 points and Jaycen Roby chipped in 4.
Cruz Parker sank 2 free throws to seal the victory.
The 2nd game also went the Pirate’s way as Brody Orsborne dropped in 15 points.
Justin Hurley scored 9 points with 8 rebounds and Gunner Carpenter scored 7 with 12 boards.
The 8th grade team raises their overall record to 3-7 and 2-6 in league play.
Urbana‘s 7th-grade boys team defeated Kenton Ridge 42-27.
Breylon Potter led with 10 points and Andrew Vactor added 9 points.
Urbana’s 8th grade defeated Kenton Ridge 45-36.
Drew Dixon netted 14 points and Roman Swain scored 12 points.
The 7th-grade Bellefontaine Lady Chiefs used a strong 4th quarter to pull out a 34-26 victory over visiting Northwestern Thursday night.
The Lady Chiefs relied on 15 points in the final quarter to pull away late.
Mia Brown created key takeaways by nabbing 5 steals while pacing the 7th grade with 20 points and 6 rebounds.
Rylee Crabtree and Lexey Brown provided clutch baskets by combining to score 10 points in the second half, 6 of those points in the final stretch of the game.
Lexey Brown also hauled in 4 rebounds and blocked 2 shots.
Willow Havens and Paxton Stewart rounded out the scoring for the 7th grade.
The 7th-grade girls improved to 8-3 on the year and will travel to Northridge Monday night in CBC action.
In an intense second half, the 8th grade Lady Chiefs battled back from a 13-point deficit at the half to just come up shy of completing the comeback.
Sloan Stolly had the hot hand tonight knocking down six three-pointers five of them coming in the second half also playing solid defense.
Stolly finished with 18 points.
Vanessa Fredrick, Hailey Agustus, Tabby Thomas, and Joy Fogan combined for 9 points.
Ava Oppy, Joy Fogan, and Tabby Thomas also combined for 15 rebounds.
The Chiefs turned up the defense causing many turnovers and creating steals.
The girls battled hard till the end and we are super proud of their efforts.
The Bellefontaine 8th-grade boy’s basketball team defeated Northwestern 47-37.
