Middle School Cross Country Weekend Results

  • The Bellefontaine MS Boys team had another great showing to place 2nd out of 16 teams at the Jim Murray Invitational on Saturday. Jack Wilson (2nd), Landon Rister (8th), and Caleb Sechrest (15th) led the way, each bringing home the top 15 medals. Grady Feasel added one of his best races of the season and stepped up as the 4th man for the Chiefs. Team – 2nd: 2. Jack Wilson-11:30, 8. Landon Rister-12:19, 15. Caleb Sechrest-12:56, 20. Grady Feasel-13:04, 25. Andrew Myers-13:23, 31. Liam Scott- 13:35, and 68. Brayten Swisher-18:19.
  • The Bellefontaine MS Girls team ran another great race to place 2nd out of 16 teams at the Jim Murray Invitational Saturday. Sloan Stolly and Chloe O’Chocke led the way for the Chiefs each bringing home a top 15 medal. Personal best times were run by O’Chocke and Leila Hammond. Hammond and Camila Cely-Hernandez had outstanding races at the 4-5 spot for the Chiefs. Team – 2nd: 12. Sloan Stolly 14:07, 13. Chloe O’Chocke 14:13 (PR), 24. Cameo Greene 14:48, 25. Leila Hammond 14:49 (PR), 27. Camila Cely-Hernandez 15:08 (Season PR), 33. Allie Myers 15:55, 35. Blakely Vollrath 16:06 and 36. Lexi Lamb 16:20.
  • Benjamin Logan Middle School Cross Country teams competed Saturday in the Indian Lake Invitational. The girl’s team finished second led by Gwen Smith placing 7th. Lottie Bodin was 9th, Cielo Wilcox 15th, Montana Coleman 28th, and Mia Ortiz 29th. The boys finished in third place led by Greyson Butler placing 12th. Rounding out the scoring were Michael Berry 15th, Logan Watkins 19th, Miles Grandbois 21and Ezra Ramsey 22. The teams will compete next at the Kenton Invitational on Thursday, October 5.
  • The West-Liberty Salem Middle School Big Orange cross-country teams ran at the Centerville Invitational. The girls placed 7th out of 18 teams. Individual Results (out of 169 finishers): Addi Wallen 7th 13:09, Isla Leichty 14th 13:28, Mia Dooley 29th 14:20, Charlee Albers 44th 14:44, Ella Albers 117th 17:36, and Brianna Blair 132nd 18:39. The boys placed 2nd out of 20 teams. Individual Results (out of 171 finishers): Asher Cole 5th 10:45, Brayan Gullett 9th 11:14, Adly Knox 16th 11:42, Zeke Longshore 19th 11:51, Eric Hoover 22nd 11:59, Everett Brooks 97th 13:45, Peyton Zeigler 130th 14:54, and Landon McKenzie 144th 15:46. The teams will compete next Saturday at the Coldwater Invitational.
  • The Indian Lake Middle School girls ran at the Jean Newmeyer Memorial Invitational on September 30. Allison Overmyer earned a PR by 19 seconds with a time of 14:20 (6th place). Laura Metzger raced to a PR by 25 seconds with a time of 14:32 (8th place). Karlee Taylor also earned a PR by 25 seconds with a time of 17:29 (32nd place). Emma Taylor finished with a time of 19:05 (36th place). The girls will race next at the Anna Rocket Invitational on Saturday, October 7.
