On Monday night, the West Liberty-Salem 8th grade girls basketball team lost to Fairbanks, 36-16. This brings their record to 0-1. The girls will play their first home game of the season on Monday, December 2nd, against West Jefferson. The 8th-grade game will follow the 7th-grade game, which starts at 5:30 PM.
The 7th-grade girls had a strong win against Fairbanks, beating them 38-2. Rylee Falloon and Bella Johnson led the team with 10 points each. Other scorers were Avery Brown (6 points), Lilly Yeater (4), Elin Leichty (4), and Avery Randall (2). The 7th grade team is now 1-0.
