Middle School Ladies Rock the Court: Chiefs, Lakers, Raiders, and Tigers


The 7th grade Lady Chiefs scrapped and battled against Ben Logan, but fell in double OT 29-24.

Pacing the Lady Chiefs was Mia Brown with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Cameo Greene added 5 points while Lexey Brown and Paxton Stewart combined for 5 points and 6 rebounds.

The 7th grade falls to 4-2 on the year and will travel to Graham Tuesday, January 2nd.


The 8th-grade Lady Chiefs struggled offensively this evening against Ben Logan, 24-29.

Joy Fogan led the team with 7 points, hauled down 11 boards, and three steals.

Tabby Thomas and Amari Hunsicker each added 3 points.

Sloan Stolly scored 2 points, had three assists, and 4 steals.

Ava Oppy, Vanessa Friedrich, and Aaralynn Chapman added 2 each.

Hailey Agustus added four rebounds.


The 7th Grade Lady Lakers lost to Urbana 41-26.

Kyler Carruthers scored 16 points for Indian Lake while Laura Metzger had 7 points and Audra Harford scored 3 points.


The Indian Lake 8th grade girl’s basketball team defeated Urbana 41-19.

Leading the way for the Lakers was Brylee Buyer who scored 19 points.

Alivia Kinney had 9 points, Madison Davis scored 5 points and Rya Pequignot and Ava Phillips scored 4 points each.

Their record is 8-0.


The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade girls team defeated Greenon 27-26.

Leading the Tigers were:

  • Emily King- 8 points
  • Ashyln Yeater- 2 points
  • Ella Jacobs- 6 points
  • Ava Martin- 4 points
  • Karlee Lucas- 7 points


The 8th grade West Liberty-Salem team was victorious over Greenon 34-22.

For the Tigers:

  • Arianna Weaver- 12 points
  • Isla Leichty- 6 points
  • Addi Wallen- 5 points
  • Ellery Wygal- 5 points
  • Lucy Cole- 4 points
  • Nevaeh Gravely- 2 points


7th-grade girls from Benjamin Logan put together a total team effort win today vs the Bellefontaine Chieftains.

The Raiders overcame Addy Rutherford fouling out in regulation and they pulled together and gutted out a win in double overtime 29-24.

The Raiders were led by Brielle Kline with 11, Marley Shields had some timely buckets and ended with 8, Jozie Taylor had 6 points.

Paisley Rodenberger had a great all-around floor game and scored 4 points, Addy Rutherford battled foul trouble all night but played with her usual toughness and chipped in 2, and Hayden McCoy was a monster on the glass again.

They are now 4-2


The 8th grade Benjamin Logan girls also got the win vs the Chieftains.

The Lady Raiders battled all game and showed some toughness in the 26-21 victory.

Hailey Smith had 13 and Daylin Varner scored 5.

Brileigh Burnsides on ball defense was a factor as well as Leah Hawley’s toughness in the paint.

Mya Willis, Burnside, Maddie Shields, and Hawley all chipped in 2.

They are now 2-4
