Middle School: Riverside & West Liberty-Salem Volleyball Teams Compete

7th Grade Volleyball
The Riverside 7th grade volleyball team faced a challenging match against Bethel on Thursday, ultimately losing in three sets: 25-18, 22-25, and 21-25. Top performers for Riverside included Bella Robinson with 11 points and 6 aces, Lillian Jackson with 9 points and 3 aces, and Izzy Hudson who added 5 points and 3 aces. Gracie Rench contributed 4 points and 2 aces, while Lillianne Hanes served 1 ace, and Annabell Oneal and Katie McFarlin each had 1 point. The team will travel to Houston for their next match on Saturday at 10:00 am.

8th Grade Volleyball
The Riverside 8th grade volleyball team also played against Bethel on Thursday, losing a close match with scores of 9-25, 28-26, and 22-25. Ellie Zwiebel led with 6 points and 6 aces, Emma Pope contributed 7 points and 2 aces, and Morgan Klingelhofer and Abigail Littlejohn each had 6 points. Madison Schindewolf added 4 points and 3 aces, and Eva Dodds also had 4 points. The Pirates will compete in Houston on Saturday.

The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade girls volleyball team was defeated by Benjamin Logan. The sets were close, with scores of 18-25, 25-20, and 14-25. Reese Winters led with 15 kills and 15 digs, Jules Loveless contributed 30 assists, Loretta Moxley added 9 digs, and Kenna Wright had 15 digs and 5 kills.

In the 7th grade match, West Liberty-Salem also faced Benjamin Logan and lost in two sets, 13-25 and 16-25. Rylee Falloon recorded 5 kills and 8 digs, Callie Tremble had 6 digs, Alissa Dixon added 5 digs, and Bella Johnson provided 10 assists.
