Middle School teams battle Tuesday night

On Tuesday, the 7th-grade Raiders faced Kenton and fought hard, but they were defeated 43-17. Nevada Coleman was the top scorer for the team with 5 points, followed by Luke Long with 4 points. Other contributors included Preston Mikes with 3 points, and Anson Nichols and Baikyr Roberts, who each scored 2 points. Brayden Sims added 1 point to the team’s total.

In a thrilling game, the 8th-grade Raiders made a strong comeback to beat Kenton 32-29. They were down by 15 points at halftime but battled back in the second half. Micah Gregg led the Raiders with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Gabe Predmore had a standout performance with 7 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 assists. Carrick Spriggs contributed 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals, while Karson McCoy added 2 points, 4 steals, and 3 assists. The win improved the Raiders’ record to 8-2. Their next game is Thursday at 5:30 PM against Jonathan Alder.

The Riverside Lady Pirates 8th grade girls basketball team played a close game against Dayton Northridge but lost 40-38. Morgan Klingelhofer was the top scorer with 16 points, and Maddie Schindewolf added 9 points. Ellie Zwiebel contributed 7 points, and Eva Dodds and Bella Robinson both scored 3 points.
