Middle School Volley: Chiefs Jump Opponents, Tigers Against Madison Plains, Benjamin Logan Sweeps Graham & Riverside Beats Northridge

The 7th-grade Lady Chiefs jumped on Northridge early but could not overcome a late-charging Cougar team.

The Chiefs fell in 3 sets 23-25, 25-21 & 21-25.

Shining for the Chiefs was Lexey Brown with 9 kills, 3 aces, and a block.

Mia Brown had 4 assists, 6 aces, and a kill.

Marlee Huffman chipped in with her season-high 3 kills.

The Chiefs host Jonathan Alder on Thursday at 5:30.

 

The 8th-grade Lady Chiefs played a solid first set this evening but struggled with unforced errors in the second set.

Ava Oppy had a solid serving performance scoring 6 points and 2 aces.

Zaleny Storm also served strong scoring 6 points and 2 aces.

Lyla Connor, Brooklyne Kuntz, and Ariy Rangel added a kill.

Celine Blinn and Kinnley Dunn had a couple of digs.

 

The West Liberty-Salem 7th-grade volleyball team beat Madison Plains in 3 exciting sets: 20-25, 25-19 & 25-18.

The Tigers are 10-0.

 

The West Liberty-Salem 8th-grade Volleyball had a hard-fought loss against Madison Plains in two sets: 24-26 & 18-25.

WLS will travel on Wednesday to take on Greenon.

 

The Benjamin Logan 7th-grade team swept Graham at home: 25-20, 20-25 & 25-18.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade won in 2 and all Lady Raiders contributed: 25-10 & 25-13.

Georgia Daniels led in kills with 6 and 2 aces.

Beatrice Warren and Brooke Slygh added 2 kills apiece.

Bella Hughes scored 14 points with 10 aces from the service line.

Autumn Cline scored 10 points with 7 aces from the service line.

 

The Riverside 8th-grade volleyball beat Northridge in 2 sets: 25-15 & 26-24.

Chloe Purtee had 11 points and 8 aces.

Clara McGill had 7 points and 6 aces.

Valerie Knight had 7 points and 5 aces.

Maddy Bower had 5 points, and 4 aces.

Molly Carman had 3 hits.

Riverside plays at home Thursday against Troy Christian.
