It was a busy Saturday for middle school volleyball, with several local teams in action.
Benjamin Logan’s 7th-grade Lady Raiders came away with a sweep over Indian Lake, winning by scores of 25–14 and 26–24.
The Raiders combined for eight aces, nine kills, and eight assists in the victory.
In the 8th-grade match, Benjamin Logan fell in two sets, dropping the opener 25–17 and the second set 25–18.
The team finished with six kills, four assists, five aces, and eight digs.
The 7th and 8th-grade Lady Chiefs traveled to Jonathan Alder, where both teams came up short in hard-fought matches.
The 8th-grade team lost by scores of 25–16 and 25–19.
Alexis Hogan recorded two digs and was a perfect seven-for-seven from the service line.
Gianna Davis went three-for-four serving.
Jazmin Nelson tallied one block and went six-for-seven serving with two aces.
Ellie Irick was a perfect ten-for-ten serving with three aces.
Ellijana Bosiljavec contributed three digs and was five-for-five serving, while Brookelyn Oaks added three digs.
In 7th-grade action, the Lady Chiefs fell to Jonathan Alder 25–16 and 25–6.
Mariana Infante went three-for-four serving.
Skylar Phan was perfect on five serves.
Braelyn Neer collected three digs, while Arianna Rumer finished with two kills.
Both Lady Chiefs teams are now 0–3 on the season.
