Middle School Volleyball: Pirates Fall, Tigers Win

Riverside 7th-grade volleyball team traveled to Miami East on Thursday and fell short: 25-16, 21-25 & 10 – 25.

Leading scorers for Riverside were:

• Eva Dodds 10 points with 2 aces, 1 kill, and 2 tips
• Emma Pope 5 points with 3 aces
• Ellie Zwiebel 4 points with 1 ace and 3 tips
• Morgan Klingelhofer 3 points with 3 aces and 2 tips
• Abigail Littlejohn 2 points with 1 ace and 1 kill
• Rollie Foreman 1 point.

The Riverside 8th-grade volleyball lost to Miami East: 13-25, 25-23 & 19-25.

• Chloe Purtee had 8 points
• Kenzie Stotler had 5 points
• Molly Carman had 6 kills

Riverside will host Covington on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The West Liberty-Salem 7th-grade volleyball team beat Mechanicsburg in 2 sets on Thursday: 25-7 & 25-21.

The Tigers are now 13-0.

The 8th-grade volleyball team fell to Mechanicsburg in a two-set match: 12-25 & 16-25.
