On Wednesday, the 7th and 8th-grade girls volleyball teams from West Liberty-Salem and Benjamin Logan were in action.
The West Liberty-Salem 7th-grade team fell in a close match, losing 16-25 and 19-25.
The team recorded three kills and seven serving aces, bringing their season record to 1-1.
The 8th-grade team traveled to Mechanicsburg and defeated the Indians in two sets, 25-11 and 25-15.
West Liberty-Salem’s 8th-grade squad recorded 18 aces, five assists, seven kills, and six digs, keeping them undefeated at 2-0.
Benjamin Logan’s 7th-grade team earned a 2-0 victory over Graham, winning 25-17 and 25-18, though no individual stats were recorded for the match.
The 8th-grade team also defeated Graham in straight sets, 25-21 and 25-15.
The team tallied 15 kills, 10 assists, 19 aces, and 14 digs in the game.
Both schools showed strong effort this week, with standout performances from the 8th-grade squads.
