In Middle School Basketball Monday night:
The 7th grade Lady Raiders won a big game vs Tecumseh 24-16.
After falling behind 7-4 at the end of the 1st quarter, the Raiders tightened up on defense and made enough plays on offense to come away victorious.
Addy Rutherford and Paislee Rodenberger both had 8 to lead the team in scoring.
The 8th grade Lady Raiders played hard and came up short 39-35.
Things were chippy and physical between the teams all night and it was a good competitive game between the 2 teams.

- Brileigh Burnside- 5 points
Urbana’s 8th grade boys team defeated Northwestern 55-41.
Drew Dixon led the Hillclimbers with 15 points, Braxten Spriggs with 14, and Roman Swain added 11 points.
The Urbana 7th-grade boys defeated Northwestern 44-25.
Tate Lantz led the team scoring 14 points and Carter Houseman netted 13 points.
The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade girls defeated West Jefferson 43-7 in tournament action Monday night.
They now travel to Northeastern Thursday night for round two.

The Indian Lake 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Springfield Shawnee 29-8.
Leading the Lakers was Brylee Buyer who scored 10 points and had 6 rebounds.
Rya Pequignot scored 8 points and had 7 steals, Bre Wisener had 4 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals, Alivia Kinney scored 4 points, had 4 steals and 3 assists, Madison Davis scored 3 points, had 5 rebounds and 3 steals and Chloe Borgerding had 4 rebounds.
The 8th grade finished the regular season with a 12-4 record.
The Indian Lake 7th grade girl’s basketball team lost to Shawnee 31-19.
Laura Metzger scored 9 points and had 4 rebounds, Kyler Carruthers scored 8 points and had 4 rebounds and Audra Harford scored 2 points and had 7 rebounds.
Bellefontaine’s 7th grade boys basketball team traveled to London and defeated the host Red Raiders 41-30.
Tyrin Johnson led the Chiefs with 14 points and Zavion Perez and Hayden Shreve added 12 and 10 points respectively.
The 7th grade Lady Chiefs suffered their third straight loss by falling to London 41-10 Monday night.
Paxton Stewart and Mia Brown watched added 4 points while Harmoni Johnson chipped in a basket.
Mia Brown led the 7th grade with 4 rebounds and 3 steals on the evening.
The 7th grade falls to 9-6 on the year and will host Ben Logan on Thursday night.
In a gritty game, the 8th grade Lady Chiefs fell short to the visiting Red Raiders 39-35.
Leading the Chiefs was Sloan Stolly with 16 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Tabby Thomas added 6 points and pulled down 8 rebounds.
Joy Fogan added 6 points and 4 rebounds.
Ava Oppy added 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals.
Hailey Agustus and Lyla Connor added good minutes from the bench.
The Lady Chiefs play their final regular season game at home this Thursday against BL.
The 8th Grade Riverside Lady Pirates defeated Miami East 19-6:
- Molly Carman had 15 points and 12 rebounds
- Chloe Purtee had 2 points
- Kenzie Stotler and Valerie Knight each added 1 point
