Monday Volleyball: Tigers Knocked Out, Calvary Moves on

Monday night, the West Liberty-Salem Tigers lost a hard-fought match in 5 sets to Archbishop Alter in the District Semi-Finals.

The Tigers end the season 20-5:

  • Bailey Poppe: 20 kills, 15 digs, (hit 1,000 career digs)
  • Londyn Loveless: 22 assists, 12 digs, 1 ace
  • Naomi Cole: 5 kills, 4 digs, 5 blocks
  • Lyndee Harrison: 12 digs, 19 assists, 1 ace
  • Ellah Heminger: 5 digs, 2 blocks
  • Briley Sullivan: 8 kills, 1 dig, 1 dig
  • Chaley Wade: 4 kills, 3 digs
  • Olivia Wilcox: 29 digs, 14/14 serving
  • Ava Poppe: 15 kills, 21 digs, 6 aces

 

Calvary varsity volleyball played an OVCC tournament game and won in 3 sets against Temple Christian: 25-17, 25-14 & 25-10.

For the Spartans:

  • Madelyn Trittschuh had 16 kills, 5 digs, and 7 aces
  • Stacia Rogan had 10 kills, 6 digs, the best serve reception, and 2 aces
  • Kari Gantz had 3 kills, 9 digs, and 4 aces
  • Abigail Hermiller had 2 kills
  • Ruby Slemmons had 1 kill and 19 assists
  • Nora Thornton had 1 kill and 5 assists

Congrats To Ruby Slemmons for over 100 digs and 200 assists for the season.

The Spartans are now 14-4 on the season.

Their next tournament game is Thursday versus Dominion.

They will play at Indian Lake Middle School at 6:30 p.m.
