Pirate bowlers win local tri-match to remain unbeaten

Riverside’s varsity boys bowling team remained undefeated Friday night with a win in a tri-match against Calvary Christian and Indian Lake. Riverside rolled a team total of 2,544 to finish first, followed by Indian Lake at 2,217 and Calvary Christian at 2,071.

Riverside was led by Cooper Crouch with a 402 series and Stephen Lewis close behind at 401. Calvary Christian’s top performers were Landen Jackson with a 365 series and Grayson Barnes with a 362. Indian Lake was paced by Gabe Stidham’s 365 series and Jeremiah Galbraith’s 332. Riverside will return to action Tuesday, January 13, with a road match at Kenton.

In other boys bowling action Friday, Graham defeated London 2,582–2,290.

On the girls side, Graham also came away with a win over London, posting a total of 1,913 pins to London’s 2,073. Graham’s regular games were led by Kelsey Weinert with a 329 series and Lylee Nokes with 299. Addalynn “Addy” Heaston added 258, Mariah Holton rolled 257, Ellissa “Ellie” Heaston posted 137, and Jayna Weinert added 95. Graham also totaled 538 pins in baker games to secure the team victory.
