Pirates win district bowling title; Raiders place 8th

The magic continues for the Riverside boys’ bowling team.

The Pirates won the Division II District title Tuesday afternoon at Beaver-Vu Lanes in Beavercreek.

After the first three games, Riverside sat in second place with a team score of 2845 heading into the baker games.

The Pirates would dominate the baker games for a total of 1,176 and a combined score of 4,030.

Riverside will bowl in the Division II State tournament next Saturday, March 4th, at Wayne Webb Bowl in Columbus.

The Pirates were led by Sam King with a 621 series. He also took 5th on the District All-Tournament Team.

Also competing in the district bowling tournament was Graham, who was the District runner-up, Benjamin Logan was 8th, Urbana finished 9th, and Indian Lake came in 17th out of 24 teams.

Graham’s Spencer Hannahs finished 2nd overall with a 635

Kaz Scott for Urbana fired a 594.

Beau Young paced Indian Lake with a 569.

After completing 3 conventional games and 6 Baker games the Benjamin Logan boys’ bowling team finished 8th out of 24 teams.

Leading the Raiders in the conventional games was Gage Hamm who bowled games of 161-203-224 for a 588 series.

Nate Davis rolled games of 203-167-181 for a 551 series and Jarrett Buckenroth bowled games of 201-154-177 for a 532 series.

Also contributing was Max Mannings with a 185 game, Landon Stoodt with a 211 game, and Caleb Knight with a 194 game.

The conventional game total was 2723 and the Baker game total was 1055 for a total pinfall of 3778.

This wraps up the bowling season for the Ben Logan Raiders Boys team.
