Raider boys basketball comes up short at Riverside

The Benjamin Logan boys basketball team went on the road Tuesday night and battled Riverside in a hard-fought matchup, ultimately falling 51–43 despite a strong overall effort.

Riverside was paced by Hayden Sanford with 13 points, while Blaine Shoe added 11. Colton Hurley scored 10 points, and Syler Clark provided a spark off the bench with 8 points.

For Benjamin Logan, Peyton Vermillion turned in another big performance, posting 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the Raiders. Christian Rogan added 8 points, while Maddox Vermillion chipped in 7.

Cayden Brown contributed across the board with 3 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, and Roman Maxwell matched that versatility with 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Clayton Jenkins rounded out the scoring with 3 points.

In the JV contest, Riverside came out on top 29–23. The Pirates were led by David Gross with a game-high 15 points, while Syler Clark and Colton Hurley each added 4.

Benjamin Logan’s JV squad was led by Caden Powell with 6 points, and Micah Gregg added 4 in the effort.
