The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders picked up a pair of wins Thursday night, as both the JV and varsity squads defeated Elgin in physical, hard-fought matchups.
In the nightcap, the varsity Lady Raiders battled past Elgin for a 60–56 non-conference victory. Defense proved to be the difference, as Benjamin Logan forced 17 steals in a back-and-forth contest.
Kylie Harner led all scorers with 15 points, while Adilynne Gregg recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Molly Siefring scored nine points, Daylin Varner added seven points and six assists, and Paislee Rodenberger finished with seven points. Rylan Norviel contributed six points and a team-high seven steals. Jozie Taylor added four points, and Kaylee Hays scored two.
The JV Lady Raiders opened the night with a 36–29 win over an aggressive Elgin team. Jozie Taylor led the way with 11 points and four steals. Addison Kuhn added a strong all-around effort with six points, 10 rebounds, and four steals, while Brielle Kline chipped in five points and four steals. Aubrey Harris scored four points, Illiana Vermillion added three, and Madison Shields finished with two. The JV Lady Raiders improve to 11–4 on the season.
With the win, the varsity Lady Raiders improve to 7–9 on the season.
Both the JV and varsity teams return to action Saturday, traveling to North Union for a Central Buckeye Conference matchup.
