The Benjamin Logan girls varsity soccer team continued its strong start to the season with a 3-0 shutout victory over Kenton Ridge Monday night.
The Raiders remained on top of the Mad River Division with the win.
Daylin Varner scored twice in the second half to lead Benjamin Logan, while Paislee Rodenberger added another goal as the Raiders pulled away for the shutout.
The victory improves Benjamin Logan’s record to 6-2 on the season.
The Raiders will travel to Urbana Wednesday night for a 5:30 p.m. start.
Kenton Ridge 4, Benjamin Logan (boys) 2
The Benjamin Logan boys varsity soccer team fell to Kenton Ridge 4-2 Monday night.
Cason Lacher and Xavier Allen each scored first-half goals for the Raiders, but Kenton Ridge rallied in the second half to earn the victory.
Benjamin Logan had opportunities to make things closer, including a missed penalty kick in the second half, but the Raiders were unable to overcome the deficit.
The loss moves Benjamin Logan to 3-3-3 on the season.
The Raiders will travel to Urbana Wednesday night for a 7:30 p.m. start.
