Raiders and Chiefs Shine in Bowling Showdowns

The Varsity Boys Raiders hosted the undefeated Kenton Ridge Cougars at TP Lanes on Wednesday and were victorious, 2,902 to 2,796.

Jarrett Buckenroth was the standout, rolling a 480 series with games of 227 and 253.

Nate Davis was close behind with a 450 series, featuring a 248 and a 202 game.

Landon Stoodt posted a 414 series with games of 236 and 178, while Dylan Stewart finished with a 405 series, including a 206 and 199.

Caleb Knight contributed with a 382 series, rolling a 180 and 202.

In the Varsity Baker Games, the Raiders and Cougars split 2-2.

The Raiders now have a 10-1 record in the CBC.

The JV Boys Raiders lost a close match to Kenton Ridge, 2,141 to 2,192, falling short in the final two baker games.

Leading the JV squad was Conner Chambers with a 335 series, including a 175 and 160 game.

Wyatt Levan followed with a 327 series, consisting of a 172 and 155 game.

Jace Lyons added a 326 series with a personal-high game of 189 and a 137.

Colton Klopfenstein rolled a 318 series with games of 168 and 150, and Asher Wade chipped in a 165 game.

The JV Raiders now have a 7-3 record.

The Raiders’ next match is Monday, January 13th, at TP Lanes against Indian Lake with a 4:00 PM start time.

The Varsity Lady Raiders bowling team hosted Kenton Ridge on Wednesday, but they were defeated 2,203 to 2,433.

Leading the Raiders was Aubrey Zedlitz with a strong 364 series, including a high game of 235 and a 129.

Lorali Klopfenstein also had a solid performance with a 340 series, rolling games of 176 and 164.

Hunter McCulloch contributed with a 170 game.

The Varsity Lady Raiders will be back in action on Monday, January 13th, when they face Indian Lake at TP Lanes at 4:00 PM.

 

 

The Bellefontaine Girls Bowling team set a new school record for the most pinfall in a match, scoring a total of 2,892 against Northwestern at Victory Bowling in Northwestern.

Gracie Hood led the team, setting a new record for the high two-game series with a total of 558, which included two games of 279.

She previously held the record with a 445 series.

Gracie Hood also reached a new career milestone, having knocked down more than 30,000 pins as a BHS High School bowler.

Chloe Heminger rolled a 402 series with games of 200 and 202, while Haylee Yelton added a 401 series with games of 187 and 214.

Avery Mullins contributed a 351 series with games of 190 and 161, and Nevaeh LaFollette added a 338 series with games of 167 and 171.

The regular game totals were 1,023 and 1,027 for 2,050, and the Raiders added baker games of 212, 184, 197, and 248 for a total of 842.

Coach Jane Kline praised the team, saying, “What a great show these ladies put on tonight, this is a coach’s dream team!”

The Bellefontaine Boys Bowling team traveled to Victory Lanes to face Northwestern but lost, 3,016 to 2,826.

Rory Pierce had an outstanding performance, rolling a 495 series with games of 231 and 264.

Alex Moon posted a 442 series, including games of 231 and 211.

Robert Spain chipped in with a 219 game, and Van Lafollette added a 206 game.

The Chiefs’ baker games were 166, 225, 213, and 199.

The JV Boys lost 1,865 to 2,179.

Timmy Phillips led the JV team with a 344 series, which included games of 158 and 186.

The Varsity Chiefs will be back in action on Saturday at Poelking South Lanes.
