Area baseball teams took to the mound Tuesday evening.
Both teams were strong on the hill, but Benjamin Logan defeated Riverside 3-1.
The Raider pitchers allowed just two hits to Riverside.
Benjamin Logan fired up the offense in the second inning when a sacrifice bunt by Bryden Morris scored one run for the Raiders.
Hayden Kennaw earned the win for Benjamin Logan. Kennaw went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out one, and walking one.
A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Morris, EJ Martin, Hunter Peterson, and Keaton Horney all securing outs and ultimately the victory. Horney recorded the last out to earn the save for Benjamin Logan.
The Raiders saw the ball well, racking up seven hits in the game. Trey Miracle and Kennaw all managed multiple hits for Benjamin Logan.
Kennaw and Miracle each collected two hits to lead the team.

Riverside dropped in the close game against Benjamin Logan.
Warren Shockey pitched 6 innings of 6-hit baseball against the Raiders giving up 3 runs with 1 earned run crossing the plate. Shockey struck out 7 and walked 2 on the night.
Riverside drops to 8-13 with the loss.
Bellefontaine fell to Miami East 1-0 in a pitcher’s duel.
Keyon Collier toed the rubber for the Bellefontaine Chiefs. The pitcher went six innings, allowing one run on ten hits and striking out two.
Kaden Reames and Mundy each collected one hit to lead the Chiefs.
The Chieftain JV Team cruised to a victory over North Union 8-2 on Monday.
The Chiefs got on the board in the first inning when Beckham Harmon drew a walk, scoring one run.
The JV Team put up three runs in the fifth inning. Cale Kline, Luke LeVan, and Cayleb Overmann powered the big inning with RBIs.
Harmon was on the mound for Bellefontaine. He went seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out six, and walking zero.
Bellefontaine teams will be back in action today versus Bethel.
