Several area volleyball teams were in action Saturday, with Benjamin Logan and Indian Lake earning victories.
Varsity – Benjamin Logan 2, Springfield 0
The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders traveled to Springfield High School Saturday for a tri-match and opened the day with a straight-set victory over the host team.
Benjamin Logan won 25-7 and 25-17.
Varsity – Benjamin Logan 2, Marysville 0
Benjamin Logan then faced Marysville and completed the day with another straight-set victory.
The Raiders defeated the Monarchs 25-21 and 25-17 to finish the tri-match with two wins.
Varsity – Indian Lake 3, Riverside 0
The Indian Lake Lakers traveled to Riverside Saturday and came away with a straight-set victory, winning 25-16, 25-14 and 25-10.
Cami Bailey led the Lakers with 11 kills without a hitting error. She also recorded a block, two assists, six digs and four aces.
Courtney Altstaetter added 10 kills, two blocks, three digs and two aces. Alivia Kinney finished with seven kills and two aces.
Mackenzie Miller had five kills, an assist, 10 digs and an ace, while Piper Warnecke recorded 12 digs.
Addyson Roby directed the Indian Lake offense with 34 assists and added four kills and five digs.
The Lakers will return home Tuesday to host North Union.
JV – Indian Lake 2, Riverside 0
The Indian Lake JV Lakers also swept Riverside, winning 25-15 and 25-19.
Claire Tidwell led Indian Lake with seven kills, while Audra Harford added six kills.
Addison Headings recorded seven digs, with Reese Imm and Makayle Clary each finishing with six digs.
For Riverside, Ellie Zwiebel had nine assists and seven digs, while Bella Robinson led the Pirates with 17 digs. Rolissa Foreman added five kills.
Seventh Grade – Benjamin Logan 2, Riverside 0
The Benjamin Logan seventh-grade team swept Riverside Saturday morning, winning 25-23 and 25-22.
Bella Castallante led the Raiders with seven points and four aces. April Tryloff also scored seven points, including three aces.
Addison Manning added four points and an ace, while Saber Jenkins had two points and an ace. Brielle Carpenter contributed one point.
Eighth Grade – Benjamin Logan 2, Riverside 0
Benjamin Logan also swept Riverside at the eighth-grade level, winning 25-7 and 25-18.
Bella Shultz led the Raiders with five points and three aces. Brylee Shephard added three points, while Bella Beaty finished with two points and an ace.
Avery Wheeler contributed one point.
Riverside will return to action Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Truster Gymnasium.
