Raiders, Lakers battle in tri-match, Tigers upend Pirates; Monday girls’ golf results

Local high school girls’ golf teams were back on the course Monday, with Benjamin Logan and Indian Lake competing in a CBC tri-match at Prairie View Golf Course, while West Liberty-Salem traveled to Cherokee Hills Golf Club.

North Union 190, Benjamin Logan 205, Indian Lake 215

Benjamin Logan finished Monday’s tri-match with a 205 team score, defeating Indian Lake’s 215 but falling to North Union, which posted a 190.

Kaylynn Crumm led the Lady Raiders with a 48, followed by Leah Braddock and Catherine Bramlage, who each shot 52. Sophia “River” VanVoorhis added a 53.

Annika Schmidt finished with a 69, while Montana Coleman carded a 73.

The Lady Raiders will return to action Tuesday night for Senior Night at Woodland Golf Club in a tri-match against West Liberty-Salem and Triad.

Indian Lake was led by Adriana Andrus with a 49, followed by Lily Michael with a 51. The Lady Lakers came up short against both opponents, falling to North Union 190-215 and Benjamin Logan 205-215.

Indian Lake will be back in action Tuesday night at Reid Park against Northwestern. Tee time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

West Liberty-Salem 227, Riverside 277

West Liberty-Salem picked up a 227-277 victory over Riverside Monday at Cherokee Hills Golf Club.

The Lady Tigers posted a season-best team score of 227, led by Grace Jones, who earned medalist honors with a personal-best 47.

Kate Bolton also recorded a personal best, shooting a 58. Ashlynn Pope added a 60, while Emma Cole rounded out the scoring with a 62.

The Lady Tigers return to action Tuesday night for Senior Night at Woodland Golf Club, where they will compete in a tri-match against Benjamin Logan and Triad.
