Raiders steal the show: Dominate North Union

The Benjamin Logan Varsity Raiders secured a 9-4 victory over North Union on Wednesday.

Soli Hughes led the Raiders, going 3-for-3 at the plate.

He singled in the first, fourth, and fifth innings, contributing to the team’s offensive success.

North Union initially took the lead in the first inning, capitalizing on an error to score a run.

However, Benjamin Logan quickly responded, with Cayden Brown grounding out to tie the game in the bottom of the first inning.

The Raiders took control of the game in the third inning.

Camden Spriggs doubled to left field and then stole home, giving the Raiders a 2-1 lead.

The Raiders’ offense exploded in the fourth inning, scoring five runs on four hits.

Hughes, Bryden Morris, Brown, and Spriggs all drove in runs during the inning.

On the mound, Jacob Hawley earned the win for the Raiders.

He pitched five innings, allowing three hits and four runs (none earned), while striking out three and walking five.

Spriggs threw two innings of relief, allowing no hits and striking out one.

The Benjamin Logan Raiders are back in action against Kenton Ridge at home on Friday.
