“We just finished a grueling stretch of swimming four meets in five days with three practices,” said Head Coach Mitch Sweeney. “It was nice to put in some solid wins. We had 10 of our 17 available swimmers swim to 13 personal bests, which is amazing considering how worn out they must be.”

“I look forward to the St Henry/St Marys Mini meet,” said Coach Sweeney. “This invitational is reserved for teams with 20 swimmers or less but will provide our swimmers with some tough competition. Almost every swimmer will have someone that is just a few seconds faster than they can pace with, so we will hopefully see some PRs Saturday as well.”

Indian Lake’s varsity swim team competed at Trotwood.

The Laker boys and girls scored big wins during the 10-team meet.

For the boys, Brant Parsell won the 500 free and took second in the 50 free. Chris Gilligan was second in the 100 back.

For the Lady Lakers, Annie Braig finished second in the 100 free and Hannah Metzger came in second in the 500 free.

Several relay teams also scored second and third-place finishes to rack up points.

Indian Lake will hit the pool again Saturday at the YMCA in Sidney at 5:30 p.m.
