Palmer had 15 assists, 11 digs, and was 13/13 serving, while Rogan recorded 32 digs and 4 aces.The two seniors also broke two long-standing school records.Palmer, who recorded her 1,000th assist earlier this season, broke the school record of 1,180 assists previously held by Sara Hatcher (1992-95) bringing her career total to 1,185 and counting. Palmer broke the career aces record, previously held by Davianna Roberts (2008-10), with her current total at 149 aces.Rogan broke the school record for digs in a season, which was previously held by Roberts (2010). Rogan is currently at 485 digs heading into tournaments.Other stats from the game:Kelsie Snapp chalked up 26 digs, 15 kills, and a solo block, and was 13/13 serving.Taylor Banta added 11 kills and was 19/20 serving with 2 aces.Reagan Standley added 12 digs.Madi Zedeker added 22 assists and was 12/12 serving.Kylie Adams chalked up 4 blocks, 4 kills, and 5 digs.Olivia Ullom tallied 8 kills, and 9 digs, and was 12/13 serving with an ace.Delmary Zayas-Colon added 2 blocks and 5 digs.The Chiefs end their regular season 11-11 heading into tournaments where they will face off with Graham at Tecumseh Monday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m.The Chieftain JV Red team defeated Benjamin Logan in straight sets: 25-15 and 25-20.Jordan Butler tallied 15 assists and was 8/8 serving.Alexza Clifton had 5 aces, 2 blocks, and 4 kills.Kaeleigh Flora chalked up 6 kills, and 3 digs and was 9/9 serving.Gabbe Hoon had 3 kills and 3 blocks.Ava Reeves had 9 digs.The JV Black Chiefs lost to Benjamin Logan in 3 sets: 25-22, 18-25, and 12-25.Zoey Conner had 9 digs, and 3 kills and was 6/6 serving with 2 aces.Kylee Boggs added 8 digs, and 13 assists, and was 20/20 serving with 4 aces.Kaeleigh Flora added 4 kills, 5 digs, and an ace.Ava Dolan tallied 6 digs and was 10/10 serving with an ace.Zoey Lavender had 3 kills, 7 digs, and perfect serving.The Calvary Christian varsity team lost to Urbana in four sets: 16-25, 25-12, 24-26, 19-25.Ruby Slemmons led with 5 aces. Lucy Jarvis had 13 assists and Abby Jenkins had 13 kills.The Spartans will play Thursday against Temple Christian for their first OVCC tournament game and then play Saturday in the OHSAA Division 4 sectionals.Calvary’s JV team beat Urbana in 3 sets: 25-22, 27-29, 25-15.Madhuri Cook served 21 points and Lili Printz had 3 kills and led in digs.This was the Spartan JV’s last regular season game.Their first OVCC tournament game will be Friday against Milford Christian.Middle School:The Indian Lake 7th-grade team took second place in the CBC volleyball tournament after they fell in three sets to London 19-25, 25-21, and 28-30.As a team, the Lady Lakers served 57 out of 70 serves, 18 of them being aces. They also totaled 19 kills and 18 digs.Piper Warnecke had 9 aces and 5 digs.Bre Wisener tallied 4 aces, 4 digs, and 3 kills.Alivia Kinney chipped in with 6 kills, 3 digs, and an ace.Mackenzie Miller recorded 3 aces and 5 kills.Izzi Mackesy had 6 digs and an ace.Rya Pequignot added 4 digs.Kenzley Pertuset had 1 dig.The Indian Lake 7th-grade team finished the season 19-4.
