Riverside beat Newton in girls basketball Saturday afternoon 45-36.
Avery Purk led the Pirates with 16 points while Kenna Johnson and Aubrie Huston added 11.
Riverside improves to (4-5) on the season and will face Bethel Thursday.
There was not a JV game.
Triad topped Catholic Central in girls basketball 46-36.
Abbey Overfield had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Jazz Ford had 8 points and 3 rebounds. Mia LeMay had 8 points and 6 rebounds. Gracie Martin added 8 points and 5 rebounds, with 4 assists. Bre Parsons had 6 points and 9 rebounds.
Triad is now (3-9) and (2-6) in the OHC.
The Lady Chieftains won versus St. Marys in a home game on Saturday afternoon, 46-40.
Laila Butler led the team with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Gabbe Hoon and Hailee Lamb each scored 9 points, with Hoon also grabbing 8 rebounds. Quinlan Zedeker added 8 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals. Rylie Reames chipped in 6 points and 9 rebounds, while Tiffany Boop contributed 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
The Lady Chieftains will host Jonathan Alder for a conference game next Saturday, with the JV game tipping off at 12:00 PM and Varsity at 1:30 PM.
