Several local golf teams were in action Thursday.
The Riverside varsity boys golf team traveled to Miami Shores and fell to Troy Christian 175-194.
For the Pirates, Drew Jones led the way with a 42, Reece Jenkins shot a 49, Gavin Robinson carded a 51, Jaxon Woods had a 52, Ayden Clary finished with a 53, and Hayden McCully recorded a 65.
The Riverside varsity girls golf team competed at White Springs Golf Course in Greenville and defeated Ansonia 226-248.
For the Lady Pirates, Reaghan McDaniel was medalist with a 44, Zoie Armbruster shot a 59, Cassie May had a 61, Emma Saylor carded a 62, Allison Estep recorded a 72, and Ava Klingler had a 74.
Riverside is now 19-11.
The Bellefontaine varsity girls beat Tecumseh 172 – 270.
Leading the way for the Lady Chiefs was Kayla Watkins with a (-2) 34, Kate Myers shot a 44, Lexi Buffkin and Emily Taylor recorded a 47, Ally Barker had a 52, and Kyndal Newkirk scored a 58.
For the JV Chiefs, Gillian Steele had a 59 and Elliett Lang shot a 69.
The Bellefontaine girls will play Monday in the Lady Elks Invitational at Yankee Trace.
