Local teams tipped off the weekend with a full slate of basketball action, featuring an overtime thriller in Mechanicsburg and a strong road win for Riverside’s boys squad. Here’s a look at Friday and Saturday night’s highlights on the court.

Boys Basketball — Riverside 61, Graham 55

Riverside picked up a strong early-season win Saturday night, defeating Graham 61–55 behind two standout scoring performances.

Riverside Leaders:

  • Hayden Sanford — 23 points

Graham Leader:

  • Brody Jenkins — game-high 37 points

The Pirates used balanced offense and strong fourth-quarter execution to hold off a late Graham surge.

Girls Basketball — Fairbanks 54, Mechanicsburg 47 (OT)

Fairbanks held off a late Mechanicsburg push to secure a 54–47 overtime victory. The Panthers led most of the night before the Indians erupted for 17 points in the fourth quarter to force the extra period.
