Pirates fall at Jackson Center, Lakers sweep tri-match

The Riverside volleyball teams traveled to Jackson Center on Saturday.

In junior varsity action, the Pirates fell in two sets, 19-25 and 15-25.

Addison Shoe and Kenzie Stotler led with three kills each.

Lily Zwiebel added two kills and three aces, while Ellie Zwiebel tallied eight assists.

The varsity squad dropped their match in three sets, 14-25, 15-25, 14-25.

Miah Carman paced Riverside with six kills and five blocks, while Molly Carman added five kills.

Zoey Ransbottom recorded 12 assists, and Kara Klingler chipped in with five.

Meanwhile, Indian Lake hosted a tri-match with Sidney and Wapakoneta and came away with two wins.

The Lakers opened with a 19-25, 25-19, 25-17 victory over Sidney.

Cami Bailey led with 10 kills, while Mackenzie Miller and Annie Rapp each had five.

Defensively, Riley Ross collected 20 digs, and Addison Beck added 16.

In their second match, Indian Lake defeated Wapakoneta in straight sets, 25-22 and 25-15.

Bailey again led the attack with seven kills, while Courtney Altstaetter added six.

Addyson Roby dished out 23 assists.

Ross finished with 19 digs, while Roby and Bailey each added 12.
