Riverside falls to Milton-Union; West Liberty-Salem rolls to big win

The Lady Pirates struggled to contain the bats of Milton-Union, falling 12–2 on the road Thursday evening.

Riverside struck early, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning thanks to an RBI single by Taylor Dillon and an RBI double from Brook Hunkler.

Despite the fast start, Milton-Union responded with a steady offensive surge, racking up 15 hits and pulling away for the win.

Riley Dillon pitched five and two-thirds innings for the Pirates, giving up 12 runs while striking out one.

Offensively, Dillon also led at the plate, going 2-for-3, while both she and Hunkler each drove in a run.

In other area softball action, West Liberty-Salem dominated Catholic Central, earning an 18–0 victory.
