Riverside High School’s boys golf team had standout individual performances at the Urbana Golf Invitational held at Urbana Country Club on Monday.
Despite only having two players, Riverside’s Jaxon Woods and Hayden McCully made significant impacts in the field of over 50 competitors.
Woods delivered a strong performance, shooting an 80 to finish in the top 5.
McCully also made his mark with a score of 92, placing him in the top 20.
Although Riverside did not compete in the team standings due to the limited number of participants, both golfers demonstrated their abilities and competitive spirit.
The team will next compete at the Dan Kendig Invitational at Echo Hills on Wednesday, looking to build on their success and gain more experience.
