Riverside JH Softball takes 2nd Place in Memorial Tournament

The Riverside Junior High Softball Lady Pirates took 2nd place in the Mackenzie Smith Memorial Tournament held in St. Paris.

The Lady Pirates went 3-1 on the day defeating Northridge Gold, Northwestern, and Milton Union before being beaten by Northridge Brown in the Championship Game.

Offensive highlights for the Lady Pirates were: 35 total runs scored and 35 total hits for The Pirates including 8 home runs by Emilee Robinson, Keira Manahan, Kenzie Stotler, and Kenna Johnson.

The pitching duties were handled by Manahan, Stotler, and Molly Carman. They combined for 40 strikeouts on the day.

Manahan pitched the Championship Game striking out 12 batters.
