The Riverside 8th grade volleyball team lost to Botkins with set scores of 8-25 and 10-25.
Abigail Littlejohn led the team with 3 points and 2 aces.
The team will return to action on Thursday at Bethel.
Riverside 7th grade hosted Botkins and emerged victorious in a highly competitive match, winning both sets 25-21 and 32-30.
Key contributors for Riverside included Bella Robinson, who scored 13 points and served 8 aces; Lillian Jackson with 8 points and 7 aces; and Izzy Hudson, who added 4 points and 3 aces.
Gracie Rench scored 3 points with 2 aces, while Lillyann Hughes added 1 point and 1 ace.
Riverside will travel to Bethel for a league game on Thursday at 5:30 PM.
