Riverside hosted Ridgemont on Saturday, and both the 7th and 8th-grade volleyball teams delivered strong performances.
The 7th-grade team dominated in two sets, winning 25-7 and 25-14.
Leading the way was Ruth Morrison with 15 points, including 8 aces.
Other contributors included Bella Beaty (7 points, 2 aces), Bella Monnin (6 points, 3 aces, 1 tip), Bella Shultz (4 points, 2 aces, 3 tips, 1 kill), Paloma Quixan (3 points, 2 aces), Gracie Popp (1 point, 1 ace), and Kinsley Crawford with a kill.
The 8th-grade team also took the match in two sets, 25-17 and 25-9.
Standouts included Izzy Hudson with 10 points and 7 aces, Sofia Butler with 8 points, 4 aces, and a block, Alexis Skaggs with 7 points and 2 aces, Bella Robinson with 5 points and 3 aces, Lillian Jackson with 2 points and 1 ace, and Aliya Salo scoring 1 point.
