Riverside posts strong showing, multiple PRs at Fairlawn Meet

Riverside turned in a productive outing at the Fairlawn meet, recording numerous personal bests while adding points across multiple events as the Pirates continue to build early-season momentum.

Kenna Johnson led the girls’ effort with a first-place finish in the long jump (14-5) and a personal-best time of 14.07 in the 100 meters. She also anchored the 4×100 relay team of Lily Zwiebel, Madison Schindewolf, and Addison Shoe to a fourth-place finish in a season-best 57.05.

Schindewolf added a personal best in the 200 (30.63), while Kathryn Corwin posted a PR of 15.14 in the 100. In the field events, Valerie Knight placed third in discus with a personal-best throw of 82-8 and added a PR in the shot put (24-9). Aairika Robinson recorded personal bests in both discus (53-10) and shot put (19-0), while Zwiebel also set a PR in the shot put (20-2).

On the boys’ side, Gabe Steineman contributed in multiple events, placing seventh in the 100 (12.07 PR), sixth in the 200 (24.54 PR), and third in the high jump (5-4). Tristin Orsborne added personal bests in both the 100 (12.11) and 200 (25.08), while Josh Caldwell also recorded a PR in the 100.

Aiden Fout placed fifth in the 1600 with a personal-best time of 5:32.38. The 4×100 relay team of Orsborne, Devin Morrison, Caldwell, and Cruz Parker finished fourth, and Parker added a personal-best throw of 85-0 in discus.

Overall, Riverside combined steady scoring performances with a strong number of personal records in its appearance at Fairlawn.
