Monday night, the Riverside Varsity Pirates defeated North Union 11-7.
Zoey Ransbottom, Miah Carman, and Keira Manahan combined for seven of the team’s 13 hits, scoring six runs and driving in five.
Riley Dillon contributed three hits, including a double in the fourth inning.
Manahan earned the win, allowing seven runs over seven innings, and also led the offense with three RBIs, going 3-for-4.
Dillon and Carman also added three hits apiece.
In other action, the Bellefontaine High School Lady Chiefs played at Covington but were defeated 8-6.
Despite recording 16 hits, the Lady Chiefs struggled with a few errors that ultimately hurt their chances.
Kassi Prine led the offense with a 3-for-5 performance, while Joy Fogan went 2-for-3 with a double.
Addison Wical and Ava Dolan both finished 3-for-4, and Carissa Cozad added a home run.
