Riverside Pulls Away for a Late Win; Tigers Beat Southeastern; Other Baseball Results

Riverside traveled to Dayton Northridge Thursday night and ran into a very stubborn Polar Bears team.

The Pirates pulled away late for a 3-1 win.

With the score knotted at 0-0 in the top of the 7th Riverside pushed across the go-ahead run but Northridge responded with 1 of their own to send the game into extra innings.

Dom Stotler singled in the go-ahead run in the top of the 8th to secure the win for the Pirates.

Landon Purtee pitched 7 strong innings to get the win.

Michael Shockey closed out the 8th to secure the save.

Syler Clark and Aiden Manning both had 2 hits each for the Pirates.

Riverside raises their overall record to 5-3 and 2-3 in league play.

The Tigers beat Southeastern 11-1 in five innings.

Reese Oder toed the mound for the Tigers and pitched 5 innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 run, and 1 strikeout.

The Tigers were hot at the plate collecting 13 hits.

The Tigers are 7-3 in the season and take on Greenon at home tomorrow.

 

It came down to the wire Thursday at Indian Lake High School, as the Lakers grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 3-2 over Graham.

The game was tied at two at the bottom of the tenth when Dawson Finfrock singled scoring one run.

Finfrock earned the win for the Lake.

The right-handed pitcher surrendered zero runs and zero hits over two innings, striking out one and walking three.

Camdon Tuttle began the game for the Lakers.

He allowed one hit and two runs over six innings, striking out four and walking two.

Madden Lillard tossed two innings of no-run ball for the Lakers in relief.

The reliever allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking one.

Tyler Tidwell and Finfrock each collected two hits for Indian Lake.

Tidwell and Finfrock each drove in one run. Finfrock paced the Lake with two walks.

The Lakers will travel to Bellefontaine on Friday.

 

Bellefontaine won against Urbana 7-1.
