Riverside 8th Grade Volleyball
The Riverside 8th grade volleyball team triumphed over Northridge Dayton with set scores of 25-19, 18-25, and 25-14. Key performances included:
– Eva Dodds, who contributed 14 points and 11 aces.
– Emma Pope with 8 points and 6 aces.
– Morgan Klingelhofer, adding 6 points and 6 aces.
– Madison Schindewolf, who had 4 points and 2 aces.
Riverside 7th Grade Volleyball
The Riverside 7th grade team also secured a win at Northridge, defeating the Polar Bears in two sets, 26-24 and 25-9. Leading scorers were:
– Bella Robinson, who scored 18 points with 13 aces.
– Gracie Rench, with 8 points and 8 aces.
– Izzy Hudson, contributing 4 points and 3 aces.
– Lillyann Hanes, who added 3 points and 2 aces.
– Lilliann Jackson, who scored 1 point.
The Pirates are set to play Thursday at home against Troy Christian in league play.
West Liberty-Salem 8th Grade Volleyball
The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade volleyball team delivered a strong performance, defeating Mechanicsburg in straight sets with scores of 25-15 and 25-9.
Standout players included:
– Kenna Wright, who contributed 9 aces and 7 digs.
– Reese Winters, with 6 aces and 11 digs.
– Jules Loveless, who recorded 16 assists.
– Cortnee Muterpsaw, adding 6 aces.
– Loretta Moxley, who had 7 digs.
The Lady Tigers now hold a 2-1 record for the season.
There was no 7th-grade match as Mechanicsburg does not have a team for that grade level.
