Riverside High School’s Travis Brooks closed out his high school career by placing 10th in the state in shot put and 17th in discus on Friday at the State Track and Field Competition at Jesse Owens Stadium in Columbus.

This season, Brooks not only broke his own school record in shot put but also set a new school record in discus, leaving a lasting mark on Riverside Track & Field history.

As a senior, his leadership and relentless work ethic set the tone for his teammates and future Pirates.

Brooks will continue his academic and athletic journey at Morningside University in Iowa this fall.
