Local boys basketball teams were in action Saturday night across the area, with Indian Lake picking up a close win at home, Riverside getting a big offensive night from Hayden Sanford, and Benjamin Logan competing at multiple levels against Ridgemont. Here’s a look at the night’s results.
Riverside earned a 63–55 varsity win over Lima Temple Christian, led by a career-high 32 points from Hayden Sanford. Brody Orsborne also had a strong night, adding 18 points for the Pirates. Riverside completed the sweep at the JV level with a narrow 33–32 win. David Gross led the way with 14 points, while Syler Clark added eight and Laithen Snyder finished with six.
Indian Lake picked up a hard-fought 47–43 win over Wapakoneta on Saturday night. Brodey Reisinger led the Lakers with 22 points, while Avery Pequignot added 11 in the victory. In the JV contest, Wapakoneta came away with a 48–38 win. Nixon Lillard paced Indian Lake with nine points.
Benjamin Logan struggled offensively on Saturday and fell to Ridgemont 56–38. Maddox Vermillion led the Raiders with seven points, while Clayton Jenkins scored six points and grabbed three rebounds. Peyton Vermillion added six points and three rebounds, and Diesel Baughman finished with five points and two assists.
Benjamin Logan bounced back at the JV level with a 42–33 win over Ridgemont. Micah Gregg led the Raiders with 12 points, and Wyatt Predmore added 11. The JVB Raiders also picked up a decisive 47–12 victory, led by Karson McCoy with nine points. Ashe Moorehouse and AJ Bergman each scored seven in the win.
