On Tuesday, March 21, Cameron Saylor, met with the high school boys basketball team to announce that he would be stepping away from the basketball program.
Saylor stated, “I’m very appreciative to have been given the opportunity to realize my dream of leading the program that has been such a huge part of my life. My main goals when I took over were to provide stability to the program, provide leadership to young men who would go on to lead successful lives, win more tournament games and bring a conference title to Raider Nation. All of which were accomplished and I’m proud of that. I’d like to thank all the players, parents, faculty, community as well as fellow coaches and my family for all of their support. I’m looking forward to more time to spend with my family and being able to watch games from a different perspective.”
Activities Director, Beau Harmon shared, “Cam is a valued member of our Benjamin Logan Alumni. His love and dedication for Raider basketball is greatly appreciated and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Saylor just completed his sixth season finishing the year 0-23. He leaves with a record of 43-97 (44%). The Raiders’ best season under Saylor was in 2020/2021 when they finished 14-9. They won one CBC Mad River Division Title in 2018/2019 finishing 7-3 in the conference.
