In a thrilling finish to the season, the U9 co-ed Scout Title team captured the championship on Sunday afternoon with a dramatic 2-1 shootout victory over Peak Fabrication at Southview Park.
The match was a tightly contested defensive battle, with neither team able to break through in regulation or a 5-minute overtime period, ending in a 0–0 stalemate. The game was ultimately decided in a penalty shootout, where Scout Title edged out their opponent.
Lennox Watkins was outstanding in goal, delivering multiple clutch saves during the shootout to secure the win for Scout Title. Maddix Purtee and Bekitt Jacobs each found the back of the net in the shootout, lifting their team to the championship.
Additional key contributors to the team’s success included Kaiden Grullon Bennett, Ella Jenkins, Bella Roberts, Ava Saltzman, Ava Sinkford, Roman Watkins, Piper Zell, and Willow Zell.
Scout Title was led by coaches Jess Jenkins and Katie Zell, who guided the team to a memorable and hard-fought championship finish.
